How I Got Started

As Owner, I began Fun 4 Paws because I have always had a love for animals and a connection with them.  I grew up with family dogs around me and finally got my first dog when I was 6 years old for my Christmas present.  My dog and I were inseparable.  Ever since then I got fish, hamsters, cats, and played with my friend's rats and bearded dragon.  I knew I've always wanted to care for animals and wanted to care for them professionally.  I even tried getting into an Exotic Animal Training and Management program.  Unfortunately the program was very hard to get into and very intense.  I decided to do a dog training program and get my certification instead.  I also worked at doggy day cares.  Then I moved out of the area and went back to a higher paid office job.  It was there I was able to start my business and do some pet sitting after advertising myself and was able to do it full time when I was laid off from my office job. I was given the opportunity to follow my dreams.  I started Fun 4 Paws because I wanted to be apart of making a difference in pets lives.
